https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/south-park-delays-episode-1236522027/The news came in a statement from series co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you dont get it done, they said. This ones on us. We didnt get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and South Park fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!
The delayed episode will be the series first since the death of Charlie Kirk. Following his killing at a Utah college campus event on Sept. 10, controversy swirled around the Aug. 6 South Park episode Got a Nut, which featured jokes that made fun of Kirks politics as well as his style of podcasting and debating. (At one point, a character who later goes on to win the Charlie Kirk Award for Young Master Debaters says, You cant trust Jews, white people are the underprivileged and women belong at home.) After Kirk was killed, the episode was pulled from Comedy Centrals rotation of linear reruns, but it remains available to stream on Paramount+.

(1,593 posts)I get very suspicious.
It is like in a criminal investigation when the husband is suspected of murdering his wife, and it is discovered that the husband was at a fancy hotel at the time of the murder and he approached the concierge with "I'm Gunny Lugar. Good sir, can you tell me the time?" and then gives him a $20 tip, followed by "Yes indeed. It is 10:37 PM and my watch is working perfectly. Good day, sir."
The investigator's first question of friends and acquaintances is, "Had you ever seen Gunny do this before? Was he usually that chatty with the concierge and that liberal with his tips?"
Why would Paramount air the first episode in this new series just 2 days after Trump accepted their bribe to let the merger go through? Surely Trump could have pulled the deal back at that point? It is as if they had an "understanding", but I am at a loss how this would benefit Trump. It is obvious how it benefits Paramount. It is getting huge ratings. And this delay will only draw more attention to the release next week because people will believe it must really be explosive to have been held up like this.
I wonder if the real deal is that Trump personally gets a percent of the gross on the South Park series.
