Shows that ended too soon.

You now, those shows that got cancelled just when they got going? The two I wanted to go on forever are "Kingdom" with Stephan Fry and "Detectorists" starring McKenzie Crook and Toby Jones. Both British shows.

It was about a black jazz band in 1930s London. It had John Goodman in a very interesting role. Also another mini series called “The Porter” That I wanted to see more of

For those who never saw its short run, this Leslie Nielson comedy in the spirit of Airplane was a real gem. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find complete episodes anywhere.

This show from Poland was riveting. A group of friends connected online solving crimes that have the local police stumped.

CBS jerked it around the schedule and it never was on sure footing and where people could always find it.

Next might have been a little ahead of it's time. Watched an episode of the X-Files reboot the other night that dealt with the dangers of AI and that aired eight years ago Rm9sbG93ZXJz

Dark Skies came out to ride the coattails of the X-Files phenomenon. Which I think actually worked against it because it was never accepted by X-Files fans.

Dark Skies was actually more interesting to me because they incorporated historical events. It was cool too when the DVD was released about a dozen years after it was cancelled. The stars of the show had very fond recollections and were very proud of the show.

I just watched the first episode. What a great show. It was definitely a little different, which is probably why it didn't last longer.

It only had one season in 1999-2000, and got cancelled way too soon.

Created by Paul Feig and produced by Judd Apatow. It had the best young cast who all went on to become stars: Linda Cardellini, John Francis Daly, James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jason Segal, Martin Starr, Busy Philips, Sam Levine. It was smart and funny. Damn!

I was actually angry when it was cancelled. Others would be, Better off Ted (which was a scream), Happy Endings (kooky and fun, rewatching it now), and The B---- in Apartment 23 (just rewatched it), My Name is Earl (needed a proper ending!!). The Residence should have been renewed (a fun show). They could have made it into a type of "Knives Out" type of series. The Real O'Neals. Guess there was too much gay in it. The reincarnation of Quantum Leap. Many probably won't know this one, but I think it is still on one of the platforms, but "Smiley" which is a Spanish series. It is really fun! Very gay!
