I thought that from a picture I had of him. I barely knew him; my mother left him when I was an infant. We reconnected when I was an adult and I saw him maybe eight times in my whole life. Anyway, my mother thought he bore a superficial resemblance to Chuck Connors too, so it wasn't just me.

"Branded" where he played an 1870s Army soldier accused of cowardice. My brother wrote a variation of its theme song:

"Stranded, sitting' on the bathroom bowl,
What do you do when you're stranded,
And you can't reach a roll?
Wherever you go for the rest of your life,
You must carry a roll...."
