I can't believe the writers crispy-fried Eric Northman. Although, I think the way he went was funny and cool, sunbathing on a snowy mountaintop in Sweden. I want to believe he'll survive this. His character would be missed on the show. Do you think Eric will return?
Funniest death this season: Pastor Newlin, looking up at the opening dome, seeing his wife up there, and crying out, "I Love You, Jason Stackhouse!!!"

(23,796 posts)So I'm betting he dived under the snow at the last possible second. I'm more worried about where Pam is.

(61,694 posts)covered in flames. I like both Eric and Pam. They make the show worth watching.
Behind the Aegis
(53,955 posts)And don't forget, Pam went looking for him. I am hoping there is a last minute rescue in the future. All that aside, after almost three years, we finally got to see ALL of Eric!!!! YEA!!!!
Silver Gaia
(4,544 posts)The problem there would be if he could keep tunneling to someplace where he could could get out, because it seems like he'd freeze solid by sundown if he couldn't do that. I dunno... but I do think that because we did not SEE him become a pile of goo, that he may yet survive. The other thing is that I don't recall him having released his progeny (can't remember her name--the gov's daughter), so if he died the true death, she would have felt it, and they didn't show us that, either. So, there's hope for Eric.
And can you believe... I did NOT even notice the fact that we were seeing ALL of Eric! LOL Now, I have to rewatch this scene!
I'm also more worried about Pam. I think it was night when she flew off, so maybe she had time to get somewhere safe before sunrise, so she wouldn't be exposed to the sun while flying when Warlow died and the fae blood daytime effect stopped. Maybe she does play some role in rescuing Eric, but I can't figure out HOW, since she's now just as vulnerable to the sun's rays as he is. I guess a year from now, we'll know.
I have to say, though, that I thought the 6-month flash-forward thing was incredibly dumb. That was really really really bad. There was nothing about it that I liked or felt intrigued about. It was just stupid. It was too jarring, too. I would rather have just been left with not knowing what happened to Eric (and Pam), than to have been presented with all of this.

(47,552 posts)Better to have ended it with Eric screaming at the sun.
trumad
(41,692 posts)Way Way to much time on a sub character like Terry.... unbelievably boring. I'm hoping next season it's all vampires which the previews look like it might be.
Ilsa
(61,694 posts)Sookie a close death to make her philosophical about everything, including that betrothal to Warlow.
It looks like an all-out war with nasty vampires next season.
FarPoint
(12,351 posts)inviting Tara to feed in a way to compensate for her being a neglectful mother..... true enough...
My sense is that the mother is lying and is herself infected with the Hep B-...she thinks Tara is an abomination and thru her religious rationale...it's what must be done....thus killing Tara.
That is what I was sensing when he mother began to move her lying lips.
Ilsa
(61,694 posts)either, but she seemed sincere. Maybe she is only looking for Tara's protection.
