Anyone? Highly recommend. Very highly.
About a young boy that goes missing while on vacation in a small town in France. Actually, about the years-long search for him by his parents and others -- police, journos, etc.
Tremendous. Someone please watch it so we can talk about it

(16,104 posts)All 8 episodes available for binge watch. May actually be the best way to watch it as it jumps around over a number of years, but the story is a real puzzle and slowly reveals right to the end.

So do you think the son died or was the kid Tony found in Russia?

(17,742 posts)That's what is so amazing. How did you like it? I did not see that ending coming at all.

(102,357 posts)The ending was not "tidy" but probably realistic. Some aspects can never be known for sure.

ok now I can talk about it.
I was convinced that the perp was the older guy at the garage. There were just a very few deliberate scenes with him in them and all of them wanted us to believe it was him. He was seen at the pool too for just a second or so. I thought the token was his or somehow connected to him... that he and the husband (forgot his name, owner of Eden) knew each other from AA meetings.
My lingering question is: who drew that picture on the window in the last episode? Was it the kid, or was it Tony? Tony was drawing it too, you see it on one of his doodle pads in that episode. So was Tony living in that building and drew it, or did that kid live there and draw it?

(102,357 posts)I think with respect to the final stick figure drawing:
It seems it was drawn inside the police car... Play back that part if you can and see.... I also think Tony had drawn it before on a note pad earlier in that or the previous episode. That said, the progression photo of the son always had a sort of Russian look to me, so maybe the show producers WANT us to always wonder.

(17,742 posts)That's one of the great features of this film imho.
I will be disappointed if the window is in the police car. That seals the deal then. I like my ending bettter
