She did not like the nearly trademark morally ambiguous characters of Mr. Abrams. She wants someone to root for that is white with no traces of gray (I argued for the cop and the Dr. but she didn't buy it).

I thought there were plenty of questions that are going to be interesting to find out. If they keep developing it, it should be good.

Somewhat interesting, but following the former inmates go after their enemies every week is not likely to be particularly captivating. We'll see.

In terms of actors, only Jorge Garcia really seems particularly interesting to watch.

I watched a few short youtube videos, but can't find the whole first episode yet either online or TV.

Did I miss anything that I can't live without knowing before watching the rest of the series? I understand the general premise.

Thanks

OK, it is hard not to watch when Jorge Garcia is there but... I don't know if I want to sit through another 5 or more seasons of a show hoping I'll get answers to the mysteries they throw out. I'll probably give it a few more episodes to grab me but right now it has an uphill battle to do that.

I was disappointed. I don't see anything in Jorge's character to give him the opportunity for his real acting skills to shine. I will watch a few more and then decide.

Makes me worried about Jorge. He looks like he gained too much more weight.

Gonna keep watching for a little longer. Maybe it'll pick up its pace. I hope.

I like Sarah Jones. She is hot! Jorge Garcia isn't faring too well. I loved him on Lost but I just don't believe his character so far. I'm not sure why his performance is sub-par but he seems to have trouble enunciating clearly, which is crucial for an actor. Maybe he feels intimidated now that he has a starring role? I don't know but I'm just not buying his performance very much.

I like the premise; I just hope this doesn't turn into the "bad guy of the week" type of show. The flashbacks are interesting. That warden is one sick puppy! No wonder so many of the prisoners are evil with that kind of abuse!

I'm-a still watch.

I was in love with Jorge, but I guess I was in love with Hurley. He is not bringing anything to this.

I just saw him also last weekend in the Best Picture nominee The Descendants. He's about the only thing keeping me watching Alcatraz right now!
