Figure Skating: Ladies' World Championships tonight.

I am so annoyed that this is the only event that NBC is showing, even though the championships are being held in Boston this year. BTW, Gracie Gold is in first place after the short program, so this should be very exciting. Ashley Wagner is in fourth after the Russians.

Figure Skating: World Championships
World Championships 9:00 PM on NBC, 2 hr
World Championships women's free skate in Boston. Entrants include Gracie Gold and Ashley Wagner (U.S.); and Evgenia Medvedeva and Elena Radionova (Russia).

all the events live. That's channel 220 on Direct TV. I know that doesn't help if you don't have satellite tv, but just in case people out there didn't know.

I hope some of the performances will show up on Youtube eventually. I would have loved to see the two US men, who had the skates of their lives, the two US dance teams taking silver and bronze, and Gracie Gold's winning short program.

Skating always gets short shrift in TV programming.

The French dance team that won gold and the Canadian pairs winner were both awesome, too, of course.
