'House' Series Finale Date Set For May 21

Mark your calendars "House" fans. The Fox medical drama will officially end its eight-season run on May 21.

In February Fox and executive producers David Shore, Katie Jacobs and Hugh Laurie announced that after much deliberation it was decided that Season 8 will be the show's last.

"While it's with much regret, and a lump in our throats, we respect the decision Hugh, David and Katie have made," Kevin Reilly, president of entertainment at Fox, said in a statement. "A true original, on the page and amazingly brought to life by Hugh Laurie, there is only one Dr. House. For eight seasons, the entire 'House' team has given us -- and fans around the world -- some of the most compelling characters and affecting stories ever seen on television... For all the above, we wholeheartedly thank them, and the fans who have supported the show."

1. I hope House flames out at the end

and they don't go for a happy ending. Though the last few episodes have been showing House's more human side, which has been good.

I read on the net and on the House facebook page are really negative about this character.

she's very quirky and what we think is 'funny' is just her being her --intentional for the character I think. My husband loves her character too, we're always laughing at her. Maybe we're weird.

she was a shot in the arm for the season, and a well needed shot. Just finished the dvd season yesterday and I cannot believe this series is over....damn it, now I have to find another show.
