Arizona Republican resigns after secret recording released

PHOENIX (AP) — A Republican official in Arizona resigned Tuesday from the board overseeing Maricopa County after a recording emerged of him criticizing his GOP colleagues for opposing a review of the 2020 election.

During the meeting recorded surreptitiously last March, Supervisor Steve Chucri suggested two fellow Republican county supervisors opposed the review by Senate Republicans because they nearly lost their own 2020 races.

Chucri apologized in a statement announcing his resignation and said he shouldn't have made the comments, adding “the political landscape has changed for the worst this year.”

“The environment is wrought with toxicity — and all civility and decorum no longer seem to have a place,” Chucri said. “The fixation with the 2020 election results and aftermath have gotten out of control.”

No one can ever criticize the Republicult. What was once a political party has become a religion, so you either believe every, single weird belief or get labeled a heretic. The major difference being that real religions bring comfort and stability, and the Republiclown religion is about pain and chaos. Like the good christian Republicans standing at the border screaming obscenities at frightened children. Jesus would be so proud.

The loathsome Ted Cruz said, "If Christians will simply show up and vote our values we'll turn this country around." on the the Christian Broadcasting Network in 2015.

Great! All that stuff about giving things to "job creators" is out the window. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.” [John 13:16 KJV]

That making war on some other country because we can stuff goes, too. “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” [Matthew 5 KJV]

All the hate for women "who do wrong?" “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” [John 8 KJV]

And they now support welfare for anyone in need. “But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?” [1 John 3:17 KJV]

And free medical care is a mandate. “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” [Matthew 9:35]

And the megachurch preachers with their multi-million-buck lifestyles who preach prosperity gospel? “And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.” [John 2:14-16 KJV] “And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.” [Matthew 19:24 KJV]

The billionaires who love Republicans because they don't want any rise in the minimum wage? “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” [Luke 12:48 KJV]

And those who block welfare, and insist that the poor are unworthy of help? “For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” [Matthew 25:34-40 KJV]

So let us have them vote what Jesus commanded, or stop pretending to be Christian!
