Border Patrol agent killed in S. Arizona crash

http://www.abc15.com/news/region-central-southern-az/other/border-patrol-agent-killed-in-s-arizona-crash

Son was out doing fence repairs this morning and saw a big poof of dirt/dust and then saw another BP vehicle hauling ass on east of the crash, they were chasing somebody.

I took this about 11 AM - vehicle is facing west on my side of the right-of-way fence for the east-bound lanes of I-10. The wreck was off the road and even off the right-of-way and yet traffic was backed up a couple miles even with one lane traveling. That was kind of strange - there was plenty of room and it is pretty flat out there. LOTS of "official" vehicles lined up parked for like a half mile - guys reading transits and all kinds of people wandering around on foot. When I read the story that it was a single vehicle it made all the investigating seem even stranger. Usually for a wreck there will be around a half dozen "official" vehicles there. today there were probably 15 or 20.

"on duty" and mentioned tire tread separation, but no mention of any pursuit.
