Also floded my back yard and I need more drainage but I can live with that. It was great rain.

and I hear you on the drainage issue. I will admit that I will check out the wash tomorrow to see how much water is flowing.

the mountains are getting soaked and washes are running here in Tucson and my rocks are getting watered!

And they're predicting more tomorrow!

As quiet as it's kept, I love when the mountains get rain ... because the Bobcats stay in the mountains and the Coyotes stay in the desert (rather than wondering the neighborhoods looking for water and eats).

Tucson way as well. Looks like I need to pay more attention to the weather reports.

Never had a bobcat in my neighborhood but we have had a coyote or two. Keeping my fingers crossed that the rain continues. Do you have any 'stupid motorists' in Tucson? If the rain does keep up it won't be long before we will have reports of people getting stranded while driving through a wash.

Funny ... when I first moved out here, it never occurred to me to drive through a flooded road.

A friend of mine (from back East) calls me every Monsoon season to laugh about our needing such a law.

Here in already dried out from mid July NM.

I can't complain, though, this is the best monsoon season since 2006.

my three dogs ... bless their precious souls ... refuse to leave the patio if it rains (even if it's stopped, but the ground is still wet). So, after a rain, I get to clean off the patio. But I guess that's better than cleaning up the living room.
