... in one of Rancho Bernardo's residential areas.

Interestingly enough, a guy from a house up on top of the hill above us came down a little later and asked if we saw his dog any place. We were hoping that the reason for the dog missing wasn't this critter.

until the drought breaks in California and the ecosystem recovers enough to give lions and bears their regular food sources. Until then, careless pet owners are going to be petless.

Meanwhile, central NM is having record rain days, 2.24 inches 2 days ago in an area where we've been lucky to get 7 inches a year recently. Anybody got a spare Ark? I promise to leave the cockroaches behind.

such intersection?) then either it traversed a lot of the city or else it crossed the GG Bridge. Are there deer living on the Presidio (it looks like a pretty big green area)?

Hope big kitty moves on--or is moved on--safely...

The three other unverified sightings:

On June 30, it was spotted in Sea Cliff and in the Western Presidio: On July 1, it was cruising the 1000 block of Gough Street; and on July 3, it was slinking around Lake Merced.


I'm inclined to believe it approached the city from the south and is wanting to go north.
