(3,616 posts)Brought in my umbrella and deck furniture (the true end of summer for me). Then I cleared away all the leafy debris (to make room for more leafy debris), and happily I didn't have to commute in the this morning.
Now, my yard is drinking it up! First real rain all season, lets hope we get lots of rain this winter and fill up our reservoirs.
We need better ways to capture and store rain when it comes, (so much of it ends up back in the bay).

(36,449 posts)and at this rate, we'll be lucky to get a 1/4 inch of rain out of this system, and that's after radio and television hyped 1-2 inches.
The upside: It will knock the dust down for the season.

I'm glad I didn't clean the rain gutters for nothing.
