Republicans wiped out tonight in Whittier city elections.

?s=20

@ZacharyDonnini
Republican incumbents were wiped out in Whittier, CA amid backlash to ICE activity, as Democrats flipped the mayor’s office and both council seats on the ballot by 30+ point margins.

Democrat James Becerra, who has called for a more resistant stance toward ICE, led the sweep.

So it's probably at least a little bit more conservative than most of Calfornia.

I believe Nixon grew up in Yorba Linda. Whittier was a working class town when I was growing up.

Notice all three of those Republicans identified as Independents. They know what’s up. You can’t find party affiliation on any republican flier around here. If the banner is green and there’s no party showing, you know they’re republicans.

There’s some rich fucks up in the hills and in the gated communities, and here and there in the neighborhoods. But you find them wherever there’s money. And parts of Whittier have some money, and some really expensive homes. But the joke around here is most of us who live here could never afford to move here. LOL.

By and large, though, Whittier is blue as fuck.
