It seems like Dems in CA are supporting Tom Steyer.

Politically astute Dems in and out of CA are supporting his run. It's not a "long-shot" at this time.

I am likely to vote for him since I truly do believe that he is sincere and has been sincere for many years. I am not alone. Several of my Dem friends and family have offered this opinion and I was somewhat surprised a few weeks ago. Now I am hearing of the same from many various political strategists.

So Steyer’s well funded media campaign has convinced you he’s “sincere.” More sincere than whom? Do any issues matter? Or is “sincerity” the test? What do the answers look like from PA?

My first thought when I heard about Swalwell's situation is that Porter would have a great chance to win.

She was a very effective voice in the House, and was able to win in a conservative Orange County district, but appears less competitive running in a crowded field for statewide office.

The evidence of who California Dems support is not clear, and won’t be for at least another couple of weeks.

Not saying that's good or bad; that's just how I read my tea leaves.

I haven't been vocal or shared my opinions about him with anyone but then my brother in law brought it up at our last family dinner and I was a little surprised. My brother in law (like my entire family) is a Dem and this was the first time I heard Steyer's name mentioned by anyone at all during any conversation. That's when I realized I may not be alone.

When I heard this today on my Dem podcast it made me feel that there could he a really serious run in CA. We'll see how it goes.
