Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt has brushed aside a possible endorsement from President Trump, saying national politics has no place in local elections.
I dont need anyones endorsement but mothers. Thats whos getting me elected, the former reality star told NBC News on Thursday. My race is a local race. I dont care whats going on in the national politics, in other states. I am running for a local position.
The president spoke favorably about Pratt less than two weeks before the citys June 2 primary, telling reporters Pratt is a big MAGA person.
Id like to see him do well. Hes a character, said Trump.

I dont see him winning, though. Itll be a low turnout election. And by the time you take city employees and their kith and kin voting in block for the status quo, theyll far outnumber the newly engaged Pratt voters.
The majority doesnt want someone new on the political scene. See Donal J. Trump.
I expect the media to call the race pretty early.
The only unknown is whether Mayor Bass get enough votes to avoid the run off. And if she doesnt, it wouldnt surprise me to see Raman decline to push forward.
