Strangest drought consequence to date: A broken ankle

I was expecting to conserve, and pay more for produce, etc. But I was not expecting this. A fellow DUer's 19-year-old niece was rope-jumping in the Sacramento River. She landed in a patch that, I'm guessing, was a lot shallower than it was this time last year, and broke her ankle in three places.
