Bay Area DUer Proud Patriot is moving -

Just wanted everyone here to know that longtime DUer Proud Patriot will be moving to Hawaii at the end of Sept. Many of us here in the Bay Area have spent many a day protesting and partying with her since the first year of the Bush administration, and for many years she acted as a Moderator at both DU1 & DU2.

For any of you who would like to attend a bon voyage get together, please contact me privately and we'll get you hooked up with the info.

10. A farmer!

We shall have much to discuss on Saturday. Ex-(?)DUer opihimoimoi has a small aquaculture operation on O'ahu.

as well as the coffee and whatever art we can create for the tourists , work farmer's markets etc.

yes we are in the Kona Coffee belt and have well over 1000 plants ... Dad just built 2 yurts, I stay in the main house and then wwe have an ohana to clean up for guests. hint hint wink wink

I was going to tell you to check your luggage, and if it's overweight, to punch a few air holes in it.

I can fill you in on "plenny local kine" culture on Saturday. Part of it is that I am among a select handful of haoles who is allowed fo' talk pidgin kine, because Lois-Ann Yamanaka, the Pidgin Shakespeare, taught me to. (She is an Autism mom, so a mutual friend introduced us. ) By the way, you could do worse for reading material on the flight out. "Heads By Harry", in particular, has plenny kine Hilo-side flava.

My old boss was such a haole that she went into Zippy's (sort of like an Asian-fusion Denny's, all over O'ahu) and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich!!

Of course, she was eventually hounded off the island.

9. I've been thinking about all that we went through together

I'm truly blessed to have many great friends. I am looking forward to the DU proud patriot Adios Party Saturday .. You are the people that helped me get through the usurpation of our Democracy when the USSC told a state to stop the counting of votes in a presidential election. That means you'll forever be engraved into my heart
