If this becomes an "every state for themselves" situation...

...as the corporatists of both parties gut and pillage parts of the Affordable Care Act that actually help people I am confident that my great Blue state of California will find a way such as a single-payer state system.

I say this in light of this recent election. The repeal wolves are at the door and I see no backbone to stop them.

Thank God for the entire west coast!

Get the blue states to work together to create interstate single payer pacts? Under the ACA, they should be able to do something like that, I believe. Get it up and running in a couple of states and work to get blue state after blue state to join up.

And it doesn't have to be just healthcare. Start a 'Blue State bank' owned and run by the states involved. Get healthcare and banking into public hands.

I want a public health policy.

I also realize how deep the roots of healthcare capitalism go into everyone's lives including their retirement funds. My view is the ACA is a weaning off of this corporate shit we are under. If we retreat then absolutely no progress can be made.

I'd like state single payer and in 2016 I understand the ACA allows for that. It may have to come sooner.

The federal government is so corrupt that it has been become a sports stadium for players who are only interested in the game and not how to make people's lives better. It will be up to more affluent and populated states like ours to do this and start a trend.
