Conference Call Chris Coons

I was sitting in my office and the phone rang. It was Chris Coons' office declaring he would be on a conference call. And you could ask him questions by pressing *3 and they would I guess screen your question.

I don't know how I got this call, whether everyone does, or random, or maybe everyone who has ever called his office or what.

He talked a while about the fiscal cliff. Then he took the questions. Some of them were rambling and long winded and one guy was just lecturing us all for awhile - Coons and staff were very patient.

One that really got me was this woman who is just starting to bring in over 250000K and she thinks it's so unfair there is not a flat tax. She was almost crying. If I made that much, I'd be happy to pay taxes. I thought she was a real jerk but Coons was very nice to her - a better person than I am!

Interesting new thing to do - I could have easily missed it, too, had I not picked up the phone.

He did a white paper on the fiscal cliff, which I'm going to look at. I'm not clear on what the disaster would be to go over it - it cuts spending and lets taxes go back up, so it would seem to be helping the deficit and supposedly the deficit is bad for the economy too.

Anyone else happen to be on that conference?
