Get registered to vote with your current name, at your current address, by October
13th, 2012.

To be registered to vote for the November 6th, 2012 General Election, you need to
register no later than October 13th, 2012.

2. WHAT TO BRING
Know what to bring

Make you sure you bring one of the following. All voters must bring acceptable
identification to the polls in order to verify their identity. Acceptable identification
includes
:

• A current and valid photo identification
• Military identification OR
• A copy of a current (within the last 12 months) utility bill (including cell phone
bill), bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government
document, other than a voter registration acknowledgement notification mailed
by the board of elections, that shows the voter’s name and current address.

3. VOTE!
Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th, 2012, and polls will be
open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Vote Absentee
Delaware has absentee voting. If you’re a registered voter in your Election District, but
unable to appear at the polls to vote in person for a reason stated in the law, you are
eligible to vote by Absentee Ballot for the following reasons:
• Your business or occupation prevents you from coming to the polls (this
includes students)
• You are on vacation
• The tenets or teachings of your religion prevent you from coming to the polls • You are experiencing a temporary or permanent physical disability • You are in the public service of the United States or the State of Delaware and
are unable to come to the polls
