ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) Bryan Betancur walked out of the Arlington County Courthouse on Monday for an initial hearing on his alleged assaults along the Metro, but was arrested just moments later.
Betancur, 28, was re-arrested by Metro Transit Police Department officers to face a simple assault charge in DC Superior Court, officials familiar with the matter said. This stemmed from an alleged incident on a Red Line train at the NoMa-Galludet U station that took place Feb. 28.
Arlington officials said Betancur was booked on a fugitive from justice charge by the Metro Transit Police.
