Unh-uh. I was waiting at the bus stop this morning, at the same time that this was happening. My bus stop is 6 miles south of ZIP code 20500, that of the White House. The weather was sunny and clear. Humid, but sunny and clear. Some called a time check over the transit system radio as I was sitting down. The time was 8:29 a.m. Check the times on the tweets.

Via the pool reporter today (it's @FoxNews repping the networks) who asked the White House what's up: "Was told the reason for the bad weather call is 'bad weather.' Pressed further, am told there is fog."

(22,065 posts)He used to love em (and all of his other contenders complained about him getting all of the press). Yesterday, he bitched up a storm about the CNN reporter, and now today, a 'bad weather call'?
Next thing up, is that he is going to visit some isolated town in the middle of America somewhere, and soak up some adoration by his fans...just wait...
Thing is, these spots are getting fewer and fewer, and people are getting smarter and smarter, and not going out of their way anymore to see rump.
In short, they are actually finally getting to know rump and his tricks...numbers may not state this, but actions do.

(999 posts)It has been raining off and on since Saturday in the DC area. Woke up this morning to bright sunshine. Bad weather my ass. Why not just admit the truth, but no the Orange Shitgibbon has to tell another lie. Secret Service must really hate Trump. Andrews is a 10 minute flight from the Whitehouse.

WH Cites Bad Weather As Trump Ducks Media On Way To Airport, Reporters Note Current Clear Skies Over DC
BY JORDAN FABIAN - 07/26/18 09:35 AM EDT
President Trump departed the White House on Thursday for a trip to Iowa and Illinois without facing the news media, citing bad weather despite clear skies in the nation's capital. ... The president typically reaches Air Force One by taking a helicopter from the White House to Joint Base Andrews, a setting that allows the media to shout questions while he walks across the South Lawn. Trump often stops to take those questions.
But White House aides informed the press corps Trump would motorcade to Andrews due to "bad weather," a setting that makes the president unavailable to take questions. ... The motorcade is used when weather conditions make it unsafe for the president to fly on the Marine One helicopter. But it was 77 degrees and partly cloudy at the time of Trump's departure at 9:21 a.m., according to AccuWeather.
When pressed by reporters, the White House cited "fog" as the reason for the bad-weather call. A "weather watch" advisory on Joint Base Andrews's website said the base is "open for normal operations."
Several White House reporters posted photos of clear skies following the White House's announcement.
