The Definition of Insanity Premieres Tuesday on WETA.

In this documentary, produced in association with WETA, a team of dedicated Miami-Dade County public servants works to help people suffering from mental illness escape from a life of incarceration to a life of possibility. The film exposes the shockingly cruel and indifferent way the criminal justice system treats many of those with mental illness and chronicles the men and women trying to change it.

The Definition of Insanity airs Tuesday, April 14 at 10pm on WETA or stream with the free PBS Video App.

I was in a "nice" hospital for years and they tortured me,literally.
I still have PTSD from what they did. They overdrugged me,kept me in a room alone like for 19 hours a day ,gave me no privacy even when going to poop, I had to shower in front of them, I got felt up in restraints, gaslighted and given a drug a needle full of anectine I became paralysed and thought I was going to die.literally thought I was going to die. Nobody should be given the doses of anectine I was given by force. I'm glad the truth is coming out. I hate to think of what state hospitals were doing to people back than they didn't have the constraints the "nice" hospital had.
