(5,029 posts)"Republican candidate Bill Gunter raised more than twice the campaign funds of Democrat Amanda Murphy, $83,000 to $38,000, before the primary election to fill Mike Fasano's House seat. Fasano left the Legislature to become Pasco County's tax collector, and Democrats now consider his Pasco County seat a must-get."
"The Republican Party of Florida so far has raised more for the 2014 election cycle, $9.3 million, than the state Democrats, $2.2 million, according to campaign finance records. The next reports are due Oct. 10."

The oct. 10 reports came out and are far worse than what is stated in the article. We all need to get busy and donate however much we can.

To answer your question, St. Petersburg, Fl. pretty liberal looking to me, and I am not even gay!
Gulfport is pretty cool as well. Reminds me of how Key West used to be. You know a quaint old drinking village with a fishing problem.

Thanks for the added information -- I'll definitely be checking out St. Pete's and Gulfport.
