Supporters of medical marijuana amendment 'disappointed' by Florida Medical Association's opposition

Sponsors of a ballot amendment to legalize medical marijuana in Florida say the recent opposition to the amendment by a state medical lobbying group is misguided.

The Florida Medical Association came out Monday against Amendment 2, saying the measure doesn’t properly protect patients.

In criticizing the amendment, the organization urged its membership to refuse to prescribe medical marijuana if the amendment passes until products are approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

The amendment, which goes before Florida voters Nov. 4, would legalize medical marijuana in Florida for certain patients.

A friend of mine who cannot see if she does not smoke pot or take Marinol (vasodilators) says her doctor wishes that Charlotte's Web was actually available, as opposed to just having been given lip service with onerous conditions as to even growing, by Rick Scott. Other drugs that are vasodilators can have really bad side effects, one of them even can cause lupus.
She says that those who dismiss the medical effects of pot as woo can, really, either go fuck themselves or else volunteer to be blind unless they can smoke pot or take Marinol. Or both. And Marinol can have some really unpleasant side effects.
