Related: About this forumMeet Flakka, The Dangerous New Drug Sweeping Florida
http://time.com/3768667/flakka-drug-florida/It can be even stronger than crystal meth or bath salts
Its effects can be as potent as crystal meth, bath salts or cocaine. It causes people to act erratically, uncontrollably and dangerously. Its called flakka, and its the new designer drug hitting the streets of Florida.
In recent weeks in Florida, this new drug has led to a man trying to break down the door to a police station, a man impaling himself while trying to scale a fence, and an armed and naked man shouting about hallucinations from a rooftop, CBS reports.
The health effects of taking flakka, which can be injected, snorted, smoked or swallowed, can be dire.

(86,780 posts)2. I have a whole slew of curiosities regarding
this designer drug craze. Who designs. manufactures and distributes these substances? Why do Floridians feel the need to get so drugged that they have no sense of the world anymore? Is this just a new gig for big pharma and a way to keep the war on drugs alive? Is this going to be a universal excuse for shooting first and maybe considering questions after the murder for the KKKops?
I can't help but wonder about such things.

(111,339 posts)3. This is what happens when the safer stuff is illegal
People work overtime in garage and basement labs to come out with something that gets people there. Unfortunately, it's usually a hell of a lot more dangerous than the stuff the DEA has banned.
It's just more horror brought to you by the War on Drugs.
End it.
