The final numbers in Florida have the Democrats at a 535,987 Registration advantage

In 2008 the advantage was 657,775

In 2008 Obama won Florida by about 240,000 voters. Everything else being equal he can win Florida by about 100,000-120,000 votes. That''s all that counts. You don't get extra electoral votes for winning by larger margins.

In the final day they removed 3,906 Republicans and 5,306 Democrats from the voter rolls.

Voter Registration as of: 10/25/2012 Republican: 4,249,897 Democrat: 4,787,284 Other: 2,913,368

10/26 Rep: 4,245,991 Dem: 4,781,978

It is true that repukes have closed the registration gap a bit. But a whole lot of first time registered Hispanics registered as Independent, I think most will end up voting for Obama.

Legislature and gov = deep red

2008 we voted for Obama - blue

2000 we voted for Gore but the election was stolen by the Repuke SCOTUS! - Red

This state voted FOR class size amendments - blue

This state supports environmental protections - blue

The legislature is gerrymandered in favor of the Repukes - red, but if the FL Dem Party would figure out how a REAL Dem Party should work (see OH, NY, CA, NC, VA, IA, WI) then we could turn FL blue for good!!

There are some moderate to conservative states that have very good Democratic parties. Florida is not yet one of them. That better change - SOON!
