Curbelo once again stood up the Keys at a meeting last night.

that was pretty important to residents and once again he snubbed his invitation without even a courteous RSVP to organizers and public. But he did send a lackey with a barrel full of printed campaign garbage.

Pffft. Brass balls drowned the monkey, Carlos.

I’m a Key’s resident. I live here. If we make the Coconut Telegraph, it’s usually three days later.

Probably why we are not a priority to politicians, even if they want our vote at a later date.

Just recently visited the keys and can't wait to go back. So I'm interested in the politics.

but manage to coexist, probably due to the very small area of land in which we live. Gay, straight, black, white, Cuban, Haitian, male, female all seem to work together with a minimum of problems. We have the biggest headaches from the Miami crowd who like to come mainly on weekends and treat the islands as their own personal dumping station, both land and water. No respect for either. Stiff tolls are being discussed presently and I am all for it, because only those people who want to rape our reefs and trash our roads won’t pay the tolls to get in, and that’s a win/win. The others will happily pay tolls if that means a calm happy and lovely island weekend.
