Domestic Bliss Alert: Newlyweds arrested after shots fired in Preston
PRESTON Shots fired in this Franklin County town Thursday night did not cause injury but led to the arrest of a recently married Preston couple involved in an apparent domestic dispute.
According to Preston Police Chief Mike Peterson, the 911 calls started coming in just after 8 p.m. with several residents reporting people yelling prior to shots being fired in the area of 200 South and 300 East.
Police arrived on the scene and made contact with 45-year-old Bret S. Hansen, who was taken into custody. He was booked into the Cache County Jail in Logan, Utah, on suspicion of aggravated battery and aggravated assault.
A woman at the residence, 34-year-old BreAnn Choules, was also taken into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.
