Glad it's legal. But, it won't make much of a dent in our debt. mucifer Jan 2020 #2

Missouri, Wisconsin and Indiana all watching as we can predict massive change in levels of conventions and tourist to Illinois over all those 3 states for obvious reasons

Proud of our Gov. JB Prizker and Illinois

Something is better than nothing. And I'm not quite ready to claim that legal MJ won't help the financial picture. Pritzker is pretty savvy and so far, pretty good at details. Most impressive is his ability to deal with Madigan. Debt and weight gain are very similar - one does not out of debt nor lose weight overnight.

I plan on voting to kill the flat income tax. I'm not buying it will drive people out of state. Those who have moved out of IL are, to be blunt, not the future of IL. So in my book, keep taxing pensions et al earned in IL - matter of fact, I wouldn't object to adding a pension/401k/IRA surcharge to those who move out of state. You got the tax break while living in the state, you should pony up the taxes regardless of domicile when you withdraw the monies.
