Labor and Industry Museum looking for volunteers

Belleville, IL – The Labor and Industry Museum is looking for volunteers to work at the museum on Saturdays, greeting guests and answering questions. Training will be provided.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturdays or by appointment.

“This is a perfect opportunity for retired members of the Labor community to share their knowledge and experience with the public,” museum board chairman Bill Thurston said. For more information, call Thurston at (618) 973-3226.

“Educate yourself on Labor. That’s what it’s all about,” Thurston told the Southwest Illinois Central Labor Council last week. “It’s just four hours on a Saturday, and you don’t have to be there every Saturday.”

I like the old redbrick neighborhoods in Belleville.
