Iowa
Related: About this forumGrassley's aide just told me he "cares about the people of Iowa".
I told her that I do pay attention and the only Iowans he gives a damn about are the ones who are affiliated with the Koch brothers. Certainly not people like me.
Incidentally, I called about the disgraceful no vote on UI extension. The woman actually had the nerve to say not only the words above, but also said that "it was 'only' a procedural vote." I told her that I did not give a rat's ass, he still voted fuckin' no. I'm tired of all the goddam diplomatic terms. It's time to take off the gloves and fight these bastards in the gutter, especially grassley.

He still makes his 99 county tour. Whenever there is a recess coming check and see where he will be.
Sadly in Scott, Johnson, Muscatine, Linn etc he usually meets with some local business group or with the Chamber.

(12,336 posts)The last time he was here in a public forum he was in Eldridge and some jealous farmers took over the meeting. They had no time for me and the rest of us with like minds. But believe me, if I ever get the chance, I will ask him one question, "When did you stop representing the people of Iowa and start representing the Koch bros.?" I suspect that if they call on me, that will be an unanswered question and I will be "asked" to leave.

And you're right. These people crawled out of the sewer. Maybe the gutter is where we ought to be then.
