What is most appalling is they buy into the idea that his particular business background qualifies him. If he had such great economic skills, why don't his plans reflect it?

More taxcuts, deregulation (or new regulation since apparently the psychopath cant make up his mind). How is not being able to deliver a clear and concise message or economic agenda going to bring confidence to consumers and help grow the markets? It is beginning to look as if these terrorists are betting against America. In my opinion anyone who believes even a fragment of the garbage the psychopath spews must be a hateful bigot bordering treason. There is absolutely no other reason why someone could support that despicable piece of shit.

News du jour.

The news today is that a big swing-state newspaper --the Des Moines (Iowa) Register—has endorsed Governor Romney for President this year, after endorsing Obama in 2008. Romney in 2008 is the first Republican the Register has endorsed in a Presidential race since 1972, when it endorsed Richard Nixon.

Howard Fineman and others pronounce President Obama’s possible defeat. Yet Fineman, more than most, should be aware of the tortuous decline of the print media, and newspapers in particular.

And prognosticators lurch from would-be big event to would-be big event with every new news cycle. Two weeks ago the news was that a big swing-state newspaper --the Winston-Salem (North Carolina) Journal-- endorsed President Obama this year, after endorsing Senator McCain in 2008. Obama in 2012 is the first Democrat the Journal has endorsed in a Presidential race since 1964, when it endorsed LBJ.

Iowa was going to be tough. It is going to be tough. President Obama will probably carry Iowa, but he may not. The same could be said yesterday. He is likely to be reelected either way.

Endorsement has less substance than Romney
