he always gets right up in the face of the questioner? I don't know whether he's trying to intimidate, or thinks he making some kind of a connection, but I hate it when my personal space is invaded.

I had a friend (a woman) who he tried to show up by dropping the mike at her question and walking out of the hall.
He is a plain old fashioned jerk.
