First of all, I'll need a place to live. I'll be working near DDE Airport.

But our occupancy is full .

I assume you want to rent rather than buy since it's not a permanent gig. There are some decent apartment complexes in the area so give me your budget and I'll tell you which ones are suitable.

You don't necessarily need to rent near the airport; traffic isn't horrible compared to other cities and pretty much any commute will be tolerable.

It'll just be myself, and my needs are simple. I'd prefer something in the $400-500 range. I took a quick look and there seems to be a lot of apartments available.

My wife and I lived here right after we got married and it was fine:

This place is right next to it and is somewhat newer:

Both are near the airport. The neighborhood is safe and convenient with restaurants, shopping, gym, health care, etc. all close by. Not much nightlife, though, so you'd have to drive a bit (10 - 15 minutes or so) if that's important to you.

Cultural stuff like museums, theater, or sporting events would also be a bit of a drive. If that's a bigger consideration let me know and I'll pick a different area of town for you.

I'm about to go offline for a while to do some yardwork but I'll check back in later tonight.

I'm 63, so nightlife isn't much of a consideration. A short drive to work and a safe neighborhood are most important to me.

Don't discuss religion or politics. If you can tolerate owning a gun, get one. Not for self defense..camouflage brotato.
Oddly enough a lot of rightwingers are quite hospitable if you can pass.

Pick your battles. You wont be winning any hearts and minds anyway.
Good luck.
