e.mail from Anthony Brown:

'Earlier this week, Governor Hogan postponed Maryland's primary election due to the public health emergency caused by the Coronavirus. The election is now scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd.

In these uncertain times, I wanted to make sure you knew you can easily vote by mail. Any registered voter can choose to vote by mail for any reason, especially if you don't want to can't go to an early voting location or your polling place.

If you are interested in voting by mail, you can request a ballot online here if you have Maryland driver's license or ID card or complete this completed form and return it by mail, fax or email to your local board of elections. The deadline to request your ballot is May 26 if you want to receive it in the mail, or May 29 if you want to receive it electronically. Ballots must be postmarked on or before June 2nd.

The Coronavirus should not stop our citizens from casting their ballots. Voting by mail is the best way to ensure your voice is heard in this important election, while reducing your medical risk and lowering any anxiety you may have due to the outbreak. In the midst of this crisis, we must protect the foundation of our democracy by ensuring that every eligible American can safely cast a ballot in the upcoming elections.'

Sincerely,

Anthony Brown
