Wonder Woman: "The Pluto File"

First of all, if Wonder Woman is the best thing on, something has seriously gone wrong with your life.

Anyway, I was watching Wonder Woman this morning. It was the best thing on. Enemy agents were going to destroy the nuclear reactor in Bladdensburg, Maryland. Yes, that's how they pronounced it, several times. You'd think someone would have looked it up. Right, a secret nuclear reactor in Bladensburg. You can't miss it; it's on the beach. In Bladdensburg.

The Pluto File -- December 25, 1976

Gotta go. Wonder Woman is over, and I've changed channels. John Brown is about to raid Harpers Ferry, Virginia. At least they got that right.

Santa Fe Trail (film)

Starring everybody but Betty White.

Laurence Fishburne‘s character was from Ottumwa, Iowa. Now setting aside the fact that it was unlikely that an African American would have been from small town Iowa in that era, they constantly pronounced it as Otoomwa, rather than Ottumwa.

You would have thought they could have gotten the pronunciation right, especially since M*A*S*H’s Radar O’Reilly was also “from” Ottumwa.
