Man arrested in Dorchester for possession of machine gun and drugs

BOSTON —A man was arrested on Friday night after police recovered a machine gun and drugs during a foot pursuit in Dorchester.

Police say two officers were patrolling the neighborhood in response to recent gang activity and gun violence in the area. The officers saw two men who were known to them walking down the street and approached to speak with them.

That’s when one of the two men, Tyriq Wiggins, 20, of Roxbury, suddenly sprinted away.

The officers apprehended Wiggins and recovered a Tec-9 machine gun from his waistband.

the feds need to throw the book at him for the illegal weapon. Seems like the war on drugs has worked out very well.
