Only 12 counties and 1% of precincts reporting. The evil empire’s lead can’t hold, or I’m screwed.

9:15 pm. The results just flopped to Dems. The early votes must be in.

14. They are but I heard at a local DFL gathering tonight

that they've taken to holding the results until same day are counted due to some people trying to raise questions about how the initial counts came in so quickly in 2020 while the rest of the counting takes a while.

I have no idea if that's accurate but it sounds like something a certain political party might try to make an issue of.

7. 12.5% of precincts in, and 21 of 87 counties - the blue wave part

Republican Scott Jensen and Matt Birk 158,937 28.65%
Democratic-Farmer-Labor Tim Walz and Peggy Flanagan 380,268 68.54%

15. I am pleased to announce that Senate Districts 50 & 51 and the House districts they contain have

remained in DFL hands (this Bloomington & Richfield)

In the end, it wasn't even close. The Republican candidate in SD 50 spent $150,000, including a TV ad. We all had a good laugh about that tonight.
