As in Minnesota, silica frack sand mines as well as processing mills have proliferated in Wisconsin since 2010, leaping from ten to 110 mines!
There is also the threat by Governor Scott Walker's reactionary administration to lift the state's moratorium on hard-rock, metallic sulfide mining. In addition, there is a new iron mine being proposed in the Penokee Range in northwestern Wisconsin.

Sunday Feb 24th, Occupy Minneapolis will host an afternoon of discussion and film at Boneshaker Books. An open forum around the Civil Rights movement will follow the showing of an amazing film, Soundtrack for a Revolution.
