would any DU'rs like to get a table for WAMM's silent auction 9/22 ?
I have been a WAMM member since 2002 and a board member several years ago.
as a member we are always asked to try and get enough for a table. I always fail at this as I can't get co-workers to go and most of my friends here in MN are other WAMM members. I ended up volunteering in working the kitchen/ buffet.
Sooo it just occured to see if MN/WI Du'ers might like to get together for a good cause. the 25.00 covers your food, drink, dessert, conversation, entertainment...annnnd the best part. Great deals on over 200 items donated. You can easily recup your money with the deals.. restaurants, oil changes, beauty shops, bookstores, jewelery, music cds, and the incredible vacation items.
Please let me know if you do,, it would be fun to have a table and talk peace. Or you can come ala cart and just pay 10.00 or what you can afford and sit at any open table.
The member make and donate incredible salads (including gluten free) , a farmer donates organic ham, many places donate the bread, holy land donates the hummus, and many places donate the desserts, Peace coffee donates the coffee and we have tea and lemonaid also.
It is has St. Joan of Arc Church in Minneapolis, so easy parking and easy on/off 35W at 46th st exit.
