Iraqi American Reconciliation Project Invites you!

Sunday, June 22, 2014, 6:30-9pm together, Minnesotans and Iraqis will enjoy the scenic beauty of the St. Croix River Valley while sharing food and conversation.
At this second annual celebration of our Sister City relationship between Minneapolis and Najaf we come together to continue learning about one another's cultures. As well as conversation and dinner, we will hear from special guest Suaad Allami, prominent Iraqi women's rights leader and attorney.Tickets to this event include dinner and beverages.

Tickets are $15.00 per guest and include dinner. Reservations and payment need to be placed in advance by credit card or check.

Why not be glad that there are those willing to arrange this sort of people-to-people contact? It's not about making "everything all better", it's only about meeting some people from a country that our country smashed to pieces. I think, at the very least, we owe them an opportunity to speak about their experiences.

i'm not sure anything will make things all better but it is nice opportunity to be with interesting people who do do things to make this a better place and to spend the evening on the Mississippi in the summer is usually pretty nice. Also hear there will be a local host from 950am radio also. There will be Veterans going to it, and the McDonald sisters who are sisters.
