3/5 Please make calls and sign petition to help stop the Eviction of Monique White.

Monique really deserves our help. She used to have a job helping trouble and at risk kids and of course it didn't pay what it should so she didn't have much of a nest egg to help her when that job went away due to funding.
thanks if you are able to help.

MONDAY - March 5th

Monique's Eviction Hearing - Please come and stand up with Monique!

WHAT: Rally to support Monique for her court date (Regardless of it is halted)
WHEN: 8AM
WHERE: The People's Plaza (Government Center Plaza 300 6th St. S)

Coming off an incredible national victory that saved Marine Bobby Hull's home in South Minneapolis we must now turn all our attention to North Minneapolis, and the community hardest hit by foreclosures in the state to ask ourselves: if they can do it for Bobby, why can't they do it for Monique? The truth is they can, and with your support, they will.

On Friday, homeowner Monique White received a summons to appear in court on March 5th so the bank can ask permission to serve her with an eviction notice. This means we have one week to stop this court date from happening, after which it will become increasingly difficult to save Monique's home.

Here are 3 things you can do to help:

1) Monique's Eviction Hearing on Monday, - March 5th at 8 am

2) Call Brad German, FreddieMac Public Relations: Tell him to cancel Monique White's eviction hearing and work with US Bank to negotiate with Monique White to keep her in her home. Brad_german@freddiemac.com 703-903-2437

3) Sign and share this petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/ceo-us-bank-negotiate-with-monique-to-stop-her-eviction

White fell behind on her payments in 2009. The following February, as she was trying to get a loan modification from U.S. Bank, she said, budget cuts cost her her job counseling at-risk kids for a non-profit. "That's when everything started spiraling out."

The Occupy protesters say U.S. Bank should cut White some slack.

"They just had record profits this quarter, and the CEO of US Bank, Richard Davis, just doubled his salary to $19 million," said Nick Espinosa, 25. "So what we're talking about with a family like Monique's is pennies to them."

Government-backed mortgage company Freddie Mac bought her house as a foreclosure in January, and U.S. Bank said what happens is now up to Freddie. Freddie Mac said White's eviction has already been postponed and that the company was considering her for a program that would allow her to rent the property.

White said she has been working a part-time job at a liquor store and is desperately looking for new work.

"Basically what I'm looking for is for U.S. Bank to rewrite my loans in order for me to stay in my home and make it affordable for me," White said. "I'm not asking for a handout. All I'm asking is for time or for Freddie Mac or U.S. Bank, whoever owns the house or is trying to take the house, to come to the table."

The Mayor and someone else had asked US Bank to work with her but when I went to find that info. I found this.

UPDATE: US Bank sold the loan to Freddie Mac 6 years ago but US Bank collects the payments.

The hat is passed back and forth between lenders and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
it is crazy. that is why so many people give up. I have seen it over and over for the last 3 years. It is sick.
That is why some lawyers (those who can afford to have one) demand the Deed.
But sadly many Judges don't side on the homeowners side. And the banks know this. That is why so many people lose their homes.

That is why the Legislators need to put a Moretorium on the Foreclosures until banks and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae deal in good faith. I work in Mortgage and I can tell you programs come out that are suppose to help but they end up only helping 5%.

Call your state Legislator to sign on to the Foreclosure bill that is being introduced on Wed.

and Call the Freddie Mac rep.
