think about how 4 years ago we were around 800 votes from being just like Wisconsin is now.

Losing control of the state House of Reps. Granted they can't do much damage with the DFL still running the Senate and Dayton with his veto pen but it's going to be a pain in the arse to get anything done at the state level.

Dayton got some political capital to spend, though. And since he announced this will be his last term as an elected official, I hope he's willing to pull out all the stops.

What a great guy, very proud to have been served by Mark Dayton in so many capacities. Last of a dying breed - member of a wealthy, prominent family who actually cares about others.

While I must confess that I'm not happy about the whole Viking stadium thing, I still feel that we're damn lucky to have Dayton at the helm of our state. I've always thought he was a great guy.

...because the House GOP will throw a hissy fit unless Dayton and the Senate give in to their demands.

I'm bummed about the State house, though. What the hell is wrong with people, that they still want Republicans?

It's been such a pleasure to have DFL control of the state government, to know that there are sane people in charge.

Thank gawd we aren't Wisconsin!
