GREAT FALLS After a rally for Matt Rosendale featuring President Donald Trump began, nearly 100 people remained outside the Four Seasons Arena at Montana ExpoPark, some supporting Trump and Rosendale, and some in protest of the pair.
The rally began around 4 p.m., after which some people still in line were turned away and protesters and Trump supporters went head to head.
Some supporters took their Trump banners and posed in front of the protesters, who had gathered outside the arena hours before the rally. Both sides engaged in taunting, chanting at each other, flipping each other off and name calling.
Three security guards kept the two groups separate, and a group of heavily armed officers were nearby.
