Omaha labor federation endorses Bob Krist's gubernatorial bid

The 20,000-member Omaha Federation of Labor announced its support Tuesday for Democratic gubernatorial nominee Bob Krist, citing his legislative record of support for working Nebraskans.

Krist, an Omaha state senator, is matched against Republican Gov. Pete Ricketts in November's general election.

McDonnell, an Omaha state senator, said Krist "recognizes the need to support policies such as the rights of workers to collectively bargain" and believes "workers should be paid competitive wages and benefits for their honest day's work."
