College Students Protest Voter Residency Bill At New Hampshire State House

Governor Sununu signed a controversial voter residency bill into law Friday. Before that, dozens of protestors visited his office to ask him to veto the measure.

House Bill 1264 adds more restrictions to voting requirements and cleared the legislature earlier this year.

Opponents say the measure's stricter residency provisions -- like having a driver's license or car registration -- would make it more difficult for college students to vote.

Dozens of young voters rallied wearing duct tape over their mouths with the words "Silenced by Sununu" written on it.

1. What fucking bullshit. A utility bill should suffice to prove you are a resident of the state ...

OR an official College ID.

The defenders of this, AS ALWAYS, are raising the issue that if you don't get a DL in the state you're currently living, basically 'you theoretically could vote twice, cause you could do absentee ballot at your parents home state' ... with ZERO FUCKING EVIDENCE that ANYONE risks committing felonies ... by doing so.

And you could STILL HAVE a DL and a car registration in your 'home state' ANYWAY, not to mention, your home state is unlikely to require that you even have those things to begin with, so you probably don't even need them to vote in your home state. So there's zero 'preventative value' afa voting in 2 states goes ... in requiring a DL in the state where the person goes to school.

But .00000001% of people MAYBE THINK ABOUT voting in 2 states, so ... let's make more difficult for all the rest of the honest US Citizens ... to vote in the state in which they live.

This friggin' crap pisses me off, man.
