Solomon, McGreevey face off in Jersey City mayoral debate

NEW YORK (PIX11) — All eyes are on the Jersey City runoff race for mayor, and the candidates faced off in a live one-on-one debate on PIX11 Tuesday night.

The candidates, James Solomon and Jim McGreevey, had been going back and forth during public appearances since Election Day.

Solomon and McGreevey were two of seven candidates in the race for Jersey City mayor. Because no candidate received 51% of the vote on Election Day, the two candidates with the most votes are now contenders in the runoff election.

Solomon and McGreevey agreed to a debate on PIX11, and voters had a direct opportunity to compare the candidates ahead of the Dec. 2 runoff election.
