A Bergen Democrat is polling primary challenge to Tedesco

Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco may not necessarily have a clear path to a fourth term, with at least one Democratic official exploring a potential primary challenge next year.

A poll in the field right now is testing Tedesco in a matchup with three other Democrats: County Clerk John Hogan, Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes, and County Commissioner Tracy Silna Zur.

Two of the three Democrats, Hogan and Wildes, told the New Jersey Globe that the poll wasn’t theirs. The third, Zur, said she had no comment before being asked about the poll.

Tedesco announced in September that he will run for re-election, and the Democratic county chairman, Paul Juliano, quickly endorsed him.
